Our welcoming baby room has its own sleep room, and separate garden where your baby will be nurtured, loved and gently introduced to nursery life, whilst following their routine.
The babies develop rapidly in sensory learning, in the use of large and small muscles for motor control and in their communication; our equipment and activities reflect these needs.
Concepts such as colours, shapes, numbers are introduced through books, and age appropriate toys; there is lots of interaction and encouragement from staff, who have a special relationship with their key children. Logs on the baby’s day are completed on a daily basis.
Meet the team
Hi, I am Venesha, also known as V!! I have my level 2 NVQ in ‘Childcare and Young People’s Workforce,’ and am also the named First-aider. I have been at Toots since July 2012 and thoroughly enjoy working in Tigger’s, our baby room. I enjoy settling your children and providing fun activities. I recently completed and on-line certificated Safeguarding course to add to my qualifications and am currently studying for my level 3.
Hi, I’m Anna, from Poland where I undertook my teacher training. I arrived in the UK in 2011 and started working at Toots in June 2012. I work in a Saturday school teaching Polish to children up to year 6 and like the wide age group. Currently I am working with the babies and have also spent a couple of years with the toddlers.
My name is Jo and I have been working with children for over 15 years. I have a B.A. in Early Years Teaching. I started at Toots in 2010 and have been a team member in each room, as well as room leader. Currently I work in Tiggers and use my degree to over-see the curriculum across the nursery. I deputise for Management in their absence and am the Safe Guarding Lead. I am passionate about how children learn and develop and enthusiastic to find new ways for children to reach their full potential.
